Taking a break

After all those weeks of getting ready for a craft market, I had to take a break from my crafting. Plus the fact that I need to put all of my stuff away for when my husband gets home. (whenever that will be:)  So I have been cleaning, exploring different places with my kids on this beautiful island and reading as well.   Our library here on base has a reading program not only for the kids, but also for the adults!!  So I trying to show my kids just how important reading it, especailly my 7 yr old who seems to be struggling with reading.   I have lots of things I want to do, but have to put them on hold.   Soon a few reviews of books. :)

Craft Market and T shirt

Saturday I did my first craft market!!!
My friend daughters sat with me and sol some of the hair pretties that they made.  They did pretty good at a little over 50 bucks, and I made about 92. Not bad I hear for a day at these craft markets.
I also ordered my Okinawa coupon Queens tshirt!!
I love it and it turned out super cute!! Now to wear it to our outing Wednesday!!!!
So now that I have gotten a chance to do something other than sew, I crochetd a scarf, loving it, but now I need to learn how to mae some flowers to jazz it up a bit.

Father's Day Super Hero Gift Set

I got this idea from one of many wonderful peopl on Tip Junkie. The link to it is below.
I thougtht that since my husband is deployed, this would be a very fitting and fun Father's Day gift for a soldier serving where he is at.
The original address is for the master bedroom, but I crossed it out and put A BEE Hut in the Desert.
she had different things in hers than I did, but I tailored it more to my husbands likes.

http://go.tipjunkie.com/fd/236/jordanferney.blogspot.com/2010/06/diy-hero-supplies-for-fathers-day.html I took a shoe box and decorated it with some nice paper.  Then shoved it full of all these goodies.  Hopefully he will enjoy them for Father's Day while he is away.

400 squares Later

I signed up for the I Spy Quilt Swap. Between last night and this morning I cut out 400 4x4 squares.  Forgot how much of a workout cutting that much fabric can be. :)    I'll show pics later. Now I think I am going to take a nap.
