Casting Spells by Barbara Bretton

Not a very good picture of the book, but it as a fun read.   A fun story about a knit shop owner who just happens to live in a community of magical creatures. Her mom was a sorceress, but married a human.  She doesn't have powers until....... well, I don't want to spoil it for you. It was a fun quick read that I really enjoyed.  Wondering if they have a second one.

My Mom gave me this book for Christmas. For those of you who don't know me, I love elephants.  They are one of the most amazing animals.  -- This is a true story about one amazing Elephant and the boy who was born on the same day and same hour as her and they grew up together.    She saved many lives, did amazing things and truly loved.  It is a wonderful read.  I would recommend it to anyone!!!!!  Happy Reading!!!

Typhoon Mufia and Review on Forever

This last week we had a typhoon that kept us stuck inside for 3 days with 41 inches worth of rain, so what did I do?? Read a few books. :)  I started and finished Forever the third book in the Mercy Falls Series.  I enjoyed it, but since it is the last one in the series, I thought it was lacking in a proper ending.

I also enjoyed finishing the Friday Night Knitting Club : Knit Two, the second book in the series.  I love the characters and seeing how they moved on from their loss in the last book.  I don't want to give too much away, but it is 5 yrs after the end of the first book. Can't wait to read the Christmas one. :)

I also got a little bit of crocheting in while hanging with the hubby and kids watching movies during the storm.  We also made lots of yummy goodies, including our first try at Naan Bread. YUMMY!!!!
