More reading fun.   I have read things for book club, the rest for fun.  Things to read while Tom is going his homework for the class he is in right now. Things to read while we are waiting for an appt, or waiting for the kids to be done with classes.  I am thankful that I have the love of reading that I do,  that I can take mini vacations sometimes to new places. :)

2 months worth of books

The last two months I have been busy with lots of different activities with the kids, where ever I go I have a book or my kindle with me, ready for me to take a little adventure or break when the time permits.  It gets rather boring waiting for kids to get done with lessons, or waiting outside of a Dr.'s appt.  I realize now why my family all carry books with them where ever they go.  I enjoyed every single one of these I read and am excited to see what new stuff comes along!!!  The Book Thief especailly suprised me, I didn't think that I would like it, we read it for book club and I couldn't put it down!!

Reuse your dryer sheets

A few weeks ago a friend had posted on Facebook about saving your dryer sheets to reuse in your cleaning.  I thought, what the heck, I do tons of laundry and always have dryer sheets floating around.  I got a little container and started saving them.  Today I decided to give them a try in my bathroom.  They worked great!! I scrubbed the walls and sink, did the toilet, even did the mirror using them. (I wiped it dry with a towel)  All without having to use a ton of cleaning products!!!  It was great!!!!  Here's one of the sites that has other tips in using your old dryer sheets:

newest books

I can't help it, I love these books!! They make me crack up every time I read one.

This series is also a favorite. I love the Characters and trying to figure out the mystery before the end of the book.

This series is a nice light one, with great characters and best of all place in Washington State.

Thoughts about the time of the Birth of Jesus Christ, really made me think.

Another book Jesus and real gifts of love. Made me take a look at gift giving.

I saw the movie and hated it, but after multiple friends told me they loved the book, I decided to read it. The book is so much better and totally different ending. I can't wait to read the next one.

This is a series that I just happened on and started reading and could not put it down.  It is Hunger Games, meets the Bachelor. Love it and can't wait for the next one!!
We read Endenbrooke for book club last month. It was a nice clean romance. I loved it and the theme of it.

reading update

I have been slow on reading so far this year. I am part of a book club with some ladies at church, so that has helped a bit.  We just had our last club for which we read Anne of Green Gables.  For me it was an ok book. I know, I know, everyone says it is a classic. all in all it was a good story, but I just had a hard time getting into it and reading.  But it was on my list of books to read, so I can now say I have read it. :)

Sarah's quilt is the sequel to These is My Words.  Slower than the first, but it was a really good read and I enjoyed it, am ready to read the 3rd one now.

Started reading the Wonderful Wizard of Oz with the family in the car while we were driving around.  I never realized how very different the Judy Garland movie of it really is. I mean the slippers aren't even supposed to be ruby, they are silver!

Another book club selection. I didn't realize that the Jewish people weren't the only ones persecuted during ww2 in Europe. It was a really good book and eye opening as well.

I love Debbie Macomber and had fun reading this first of her new series!! I cant' wait for more!!

Pretty Little Liars book!!!  I love watching the show, but as usual it is nothing like the book!!

A short little book about being an Angel for someone else!! Very cute!

Hibiscus Flowers

I have a Hibiscus bush in my front yard, over the last 3.5 years living here on this beautiful island I have enjoyed watching it bloom over and over and over again.  It makes me so mad when my kids and the neighbor kids pick the flowers, I want to be able to walk out and see them in bloom and enjoy them, not see them on my porch all withered and dieing.  This is one major thing that I will miss about living here, these beautiful flowers.

All over the island you see them, in all different colors and I love it!!!  This yellow one is beautiful!!!  I have also seen light pink, ones that are almost lavendar, some orange ones.  Their beauty makes me smile!! Plus the only kind of tea that I like to drink is made from these.  The okinawans make it here and with some of their fresh brown sugar, it is amazing!!!
Just wanted to share a little beauty with all of you today!!!!
May it be a beautiful day where you are at, whether it is raining, snowing, windy, or sunny!!!

Mr. Darcy Presents His Bride
I love these books and it is fun to see what people think happen after the end of Pride and Prejudice.

Just Ella
what happens to Cinderella after the ball? Does she enjoy palace life? Is the Prince really all that great??

Hannah's List
Love story with a twist.  His wife passes away and leaves a list of women she thinks would make him happy.  Kind of creepy at first, but sweet that she knows his so well and knows who would be good for him.

The next book is for book club.  Between Fifty Shades of Gray By Ruta Septyes
